In recent years, drones have been increasingly used for inspections of high-rise buildings and other structures. However, one concern that cannot be overlooked in drone inspections is safety. With the Line Drone System, we ensure safe flights in previously high-risk areas by physically restricting the drone's flight area.

Achieving Physical Fail-Safe for Drones

The Line Drone System involves tethering the drone between two points, such as the rooftop of a building and the ground, using equipment similar to fishing gear. By physically limiting the drone's flight range within the space between these lines, it enables safe flights in previously deemed hazardous areas such as densely populated areas. This system also allows for highly accurate inspections with minimal swaying during flight.

1.Assembly of Dedicated Equipment.

  • Assemble the equipment and install it on the parapet. (Optional stand mount bracket available if installation on the parapet is not possible)

2.Drop the line from the rooftop to the ground.

  • Secure the blanket with an angle and attach weights to the line, then lower it to the ground using an electric reel.

3.Attach the adapter to the drone.

  • Attach the dedicated adapter to the drone's body to pass the line through.

4.Connect the drone to the line.

  • Remove the weight from the line and thread the line through the adapter on the drone.

5.Adjust the tension using a spring balance.

  • Connect the end of the line to the spring balance and adjust the tension using the electric reel.

6.Preparation complete ~ Proceed to flight inspection

  • Ensuring that the line is taut allows for stable inspections.

In drone inspections, even if the drone becomes uncontrollable due to factors such as gusts of wind or radio interference, the Line Drone System prevents the drone from deviating physically. Additionally, in the event of a drone crash, the crash site is limited to the takeoff and landing area.

2.Efficient Inspection Possible

There is no need to install or remove scaffolding during building inspections, reducing both time and effort. While this is a common benefit of drone inspections, it offers higher reliability in terms of safety. Equipment setup and arrangement are also straightforward.

3.High Maneuverability and Convenience

The equipment used for Line Drones is lightweight and easily transportable with carts, etc. It can be moved and installed manually without the need for machinery.
